How far things are
Jurgów Ski is 2.2 km away — one Booking guest put it as “close to the slope, 3 min. by car”. Then, in order: Koziniec 5.2 km, Kotelnica Białczańska 8.5 km, and Bachledka across the Slovak border, 18.7 km.
In winter, two things skiers ask about before they ask about the price: there is a separate place for skis and boots, so you don't carry them into the room, and the road to the house is cleared of snow by the host. Bikes use the same spot the rest of the year.
Thermal pools: Terma Bania 8.1 km, Terma Bukovina 8.6 km, Chochołowskie Termy 39.1 km. The first two are close enough to go in the afternoon and be back for supper.
Into the mountains: 12.7 km to the car park at Łysa Polana, where the road to Morskie Oko begins — the walk itself is still about two hours on tarmac, so it is worth setting off early. Zakopane and Krupówki 22.7 km. On the Slovak side, Tatranská Lomnica 32.8 km and Starý Smokovec 37.5 km.
The closest things need no car at all: the way towards the forest and the river leads straight off the property, without walking along the roadside. Behind the house there is a gazebo with a grill, and the owner brings the firewood and looks after the fire pit.
